Tens of thousands of people wey don become displaced don run comot from North Darfur and North Kordofan because of ongoing attacks by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), na the Sudanese Humanitarian Aid Commission talk.

For interview with Anadolu on Sunday, Commissioner Salwa Adam Benia talk say these displaced people don flee go cities like Dongola for Northern State and El Obeid for North Kordofan.

Benia talk this one after she meet Turkish Ambassador Fatih Yildiz and Hamza Tasdelen, deputy president of Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), for Port Sudan.

She thank Türkiye, their institutions and civil society organisations for standing by the Sudanese people during this crisis.

'As I dey represent Sudanese people, I dey thank Türkiye and their organisations for how dem reach out to us for this hard time when we really need true help,' Benia talk.

Benia note say displacement don turn massive from North Darfur and North Kordofan to many cities, especially Dongola, and she stress say the numbers dey increase every day.

The three Kordofan states — North, West and South — don see heavy fighting between the Sudanese army and the RSF in the past days.

The commissioner talk say El Obeid city don receive pass 175,000 displaced people from the three Kordofan states inside the last month.

She add say displaced families from Darfur and Kordofan don reach other states too, like Gadaref and Kassala for eastern Sudan, and for Kassala alone more than 3,000 displaced people don land.

Since April 15, 2023, Sudanese army and RSF don dey at war, and regional plus international mediation dem never fit stop the fighting.
