Nigeria oil workers union don gree stop dia strike afta dem hold meeting wit Dangote Petroleum management and government officials, na wetin di labour ministry tok.

Di strike start because Dangote refinery - wey be di biggest for Africa and fit process 650,000 barrels of crude oil per day - sack more than 800 workers wey dey union.

Di walkout bin dey threaten fuel supply and trade for West Africa.

Labour ministry tok say afta di conciliation meeting between PENGASSAN union and Dangote Petroleum, dem agree say di workers wey dem sack go get jobs for other parts of Dangote Group and dia salary no go reduce.

Di labour minister still tok for di meeting say to join union na workers right and e suppose dey respected.

“PENGASSAN don agree to begin di process to stop di strike,” di statement add.

Di workers for di private Dangote refinery bin dey sack on Thursday because dem join union, na wetin PENGASSAN tok on Friday.

Dangote refinery officials bin talk say di sack na part of staff reorganisation and dem accuse di workers wey dem sack say dem dey do sabotage.
