For one press conference, di Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, tok say Nigerian soldiers don kill 592 terrorists for Borno State since March 2025.
“For March, one report wey Global Terrorism Index bring come show say terrorist attacks don reduce well-well reach di lowest level for di past 10 years for Nigeria. No be Nigerian government tok am o, na international organizations dey give dis kind data,” di minister tok.
“For di past eight months, Nigerian soldiers don clear over 592 terrorists for Borno State alone. Dem don free 11,200 people wey dem kidnap, and di work still dey go on. Di important thing be say over 124 terrorists and dia families don surrender. Dem even hand over more than 11,000 weapons give security authorities.”
Di minister tok say di current government don invest millions of dollars to buy modern equipment for di security agencies.
E still add say for di North-West area too, dem dey continue to deal with criminals. Di mata wey make some bandits dey surrender for di region.
Minister Idris give example of notorious bandits wey soldiers don kill, like Ali Kawaje, wey people sabi as Ali Kachalla. Soldiers kill am near Manforo for Munya Local Government Area of Niger State. Another one na di notorious terrorist for Zamfara State, Kachalla Halilu Sububu, and him 38 boys.
“For North-West, especially for Zamfara and Kaduna, dem don rescue 11,250 people wey bandits kidnap. Some of di terrorist leaders wey dey disturb people life, dem don kill dem. All of dem don waka go di place wey dem no dey come back from. Even for August alone, for one operation, soldiers kill over 400 terrorists wey gather to attack one village for Zamfara State,” di minister tok.
